The 12th Annual Strike a Chord for Stroke was a great success!
On October 21, 2016 at the Mitchell Park Community Center in Palo Alto, over 100 friends, supporters, board members, staff, and volunteers of Pacific Stroke Association gathered to celebrate our work in the community. On a balmy night, the program started at the courtyard with sumptuous appetizers and a wine tasting generously hosted by Black Ridge Vineyards! At the El Palo Alto Ballroom, our distinguished guests enjoyed inspirational talks and a delicious dinner compliments of Catered Too, accompanied by the wonderful music of Magnolia Jazz Band.
The generosity of our event corporate sponsors, Stryker Neurovascular, Medtronic, and Nurse Registry, along with the generous support from our individual sponsors, ensured the financial success of this year’s event. Our Emcee, Steve Player orchestrated the successful Fund-A-Cause portion of the evening. Special thanks to our PSA board members, Jane Allen and Victoria Thoits, for their leadership as our event chairpersons. Their efforts helped raise over $50,000. The proceeds from this year’s event will help staff and our Think Tank Committee spearhead a pilot project looking at possibilities for more reliable transportation for our stroke community in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.
Thank you to our generous event sponsors:
